MLK Parade Goes Indoors for the First Time!
The 20th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace Walk and Parade is making history this year by moving indoors! Mark your calendars for Saturday, January 18, 2025, as we celebrate this monumental event at the Entertainment and Sports Arena (ESA) on the historic St. Elizabeth’s campus in Southeast Washington, D.C. The festivities will kick off at 11:00 AM.
This year’s theme, “Commit to the Noble Struggle for Equal Rights,” honors Dr. King’s enduring legacy of peace, justice, and unity. It also shines a spotlight on the vital yet often overlooked contributions of Black women in the ongoing fight for civil rights. By moving indoors, the MLK Parade ensures a comfortable, weather-proof environment for participants and attendees, creating an even more engaging and inclusive experience.
