Lieutenant James Bunn II is a native Washingtonian, born and raised in Ward 8; educated through D.C. Public Schools; and participated in Mayor for Life Marion Barry’s Sumner Youth Program. He attended and graduated from F. W. Ballou Senior High.
Lt. Bunn has been a member of District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department (DCFEMS) since 2005. He’s served his community and neighborhood for 10 years at E-25 located @ 3203 MLK ave SE before promoting to the ranks of Sergeant and currently Lieutenant. James currently serve on the command staff of DCFEMS COVID-19 Testing Team as well as a Platoon Commander in the Chinatown corridor.
